BEADER: Describes the power tool used for forming beads on the edges of body panels.
BEARING PULLER: Describes a specialist tool used to remove bearings from a shaft by pulling them off. The bearing puller has at least two arms that circle the back side of the bearing and a centre post that butts up against the end of the shaft bearing.
BEARING SEPARATOR: Describes the tool used to separate double bearings or close-fitting gears when using a conventional bearing puller is not possible.
BEARING SPREAD: Describes the custom-built tool that will create a small additional distance across the parting faces of the bearing half above the actual diameter of the housing bore.
BELT SANDER: A power sanding tool used in bodywork and paint preparation with a rotating belt of sandpaper

BORING BAR: Describes a heavy-duty machine with a stiff bar with multiple cutting bits used to cut engine cylinders to a new diameter or bearing bores in proper alignment with each other.
BOTTLE JACK: Describes the bottle-shaped hydraulic lifting device
BUMPER JACK: Describes a device for lifting one corner of a vehicle to change a tire.
BUMPING BLADE: Describes an autobody tool with slight serrations to hold the metal to avoid stretching used for slapping out minor dents in metal panels.
CHAIN HOIST: Describes a lifting device using a chain and block and tackle to lift large objects like engines.
CHOCK: Describes a wedge used to prevent a wheel from rolling -- especially when replacing a tire/wheel.
CLUTCH ALIGNING SET: Describes the group of tools used to align the clutch plates with the flywheel, usually comprising a shaft, pilot bearing adapters, and tapered universal sleeves
CLUTCH ALIGNING TOOL: Describes a disc-like tool used to line up the clutch plates with the flywheel.
CREEPER: Describes a small moveable platform on four wheels.
DOLLY: Describes a metalworking tool that comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and comprises a curved, polished block made up from either cast iron or forged steel that is used in the forming of three-dimensional figures and in straightening dented panels by holding the dolly behind the metal to be shaped and hammering the metal into shape.
DRILL PRESS: Describes a large non-portable machine used for bench drilling.
DRYING OVEN: Describes an enclosure where painted vehicle bodies are baked to speed up paint drying.
FORMER: Describes a shaped wooden block for use in panel beating that allows the desired shape to be produced through hammering.
GARAGE JACK: Describes a powerful hydraulic jack standard in commercial workshops.
GUILLOTINE: Describes a bench tool for cutting sheet metal where two adjustable rollers pull in the sheet (above and below) as the guillotine cuts through the metal in either a straight line or a curve as desired.
GLASS HOLDER: Describes a tool with suction cups to hold and carry a sheet of glass.
GLAZE BREAKER: Describes an abrasive tool used to remove the glaze from cylinder walls before installing new piston rings.
HAMMERFORM: Describes a shaped wooden block used in panel beating, on which the desired form can be shaped by hammering.
HEEL DOLLY: Describes a dolly in the form of a heel used to shape and straighten dented panels, usually by holding the dolly behind the metal to be shaped and hammering the metal.
INSPECTION LAMP: Describes a usually handheld lamp that allows close inspection in tight corners in less than perfect lighting conditions.
INSPECTION MIRROR: Describes a handheld tool used to inspect hidden areas on automotive parts, consists of a long rod with a small mirror at one end.
INSPECTION PIT: Describes a pit in the floor of a commercial garage that provides inspection and working space underneath a vehicle.
LOW-BAKE BOOTH: Describes a closed paint booth in which coats of paint can be dried at low temperatures
LOW-BAKE EQUIPMENT: Describes equipment for drying coats of paint at low temperatures
GELLING DRIER: Describes a drier used to apply PVC sealants in interior trim.
GRINDING WHEEL: Describes an abrasive wheel used for grinding metal, usually made up from composited hard particles in a resin filler.
GRINDSTONE: Describes a rotating abrasive disc for rubbing away metal as well as sharpening hand tools.
